PanRV: Pangenome-reverse vaccinology approach for identifications of potential vaccine candidates in microbial pangenome

open access: yesBMC Bioinformatics, 2019
Background A revolutionary diversion from classical vaccinology to reverse vaccinology approach has been observed in the last decade. The ever-increasing genomic and proteomic data has greatly facilitated the vaccine designing and development process ...

Transcriptome Landscape of Cancer‐Associated Fibroblasts in Human PDAC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
AP‐1 family members FOS and JUN regulate the malignant phenotype conversion of normal fibroblasts (NFs) to normal‐like cancer‐associated fibroblasts (nCAFs), while transforming growth factor‐β (TGFβ) and interferon‐γ (IFNγ) signals triggers the interconversion between classic myofibroblastic CAFs (myCAFs) and inflammatory CAFs (iCAFs), respectively ...

When the poor give more than the rich: The role of resource evaluability on relative giving

open access: yesJournal of Behavioral Decision Making, Volume 36, Issue 1, January 2023., 2023
Abstract Five experiments examined the role of resource evaluability on giving. We systematically varied participants' resources they and another potential donor received and whether they could donate to a recipient either by themselves or with the other donor.

SiPaGene: A new repository for instant online retrieval, sharing and meta-analyses of GeneChip® expression data

open access: yesBMC Genomics, 2009
Background Microarray expression profiling is becoming a routine technology for medical research and generates enormous amounts of data. However, reanalysis of public data and comparison with own results is laborious. Although many different tools exist,

Unveiling Salt Tolerance Mechanisms in Plants: Integrating the KANMB Machine Learning Model With Metabolomic and Transcriptomic Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Salt stress endangers coastal cereal crops, requiring resilient crop solutions. This study employs machine learning (KANMB) to analyze multi‐omics data from halophyte Spartina alterniflora, revealing 226 salt‐stress biomarkers and linking them to tolerance pathways. The MYB gene SaMYB35 regulates flavonoid biosynthesis under salinity.

A Proof Carrying Code Framework for Inlined Reference Monitors in Java Bytecode [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2010
We propose a light-weight approach for certification of monitor inlining for sequential Java bytecode using proof-carrying code. The goal is to enable the use of monitoring for quality assurance at development time, while minimizing the need for post-shipping code rewrites as well as changes to the end-host TCB.

A Touch Enabled Hemodynamic and Metabolic Monitor

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a touch‐based hybrid platform for simultaneous monitoring of vital signs and sweat metabolites. With a simple tri‐finger touch of 4–6 min, users can concurrently get to know their glucose, uric acid, cortisol levels from fingertip sweat, along with blood pressure and heart rate.

NullAway: Practical Type-Based Null Safety for Java [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
NullPointerExceptions (NPEs) are a key source of crashes in modern Java programs. Previous work has shown how such errors can be prevented at compile time via code annotations and pluggable type checking. However, such systems have been difficult to deploy on large-scale software projects, due to significant build-time overhead and / or a high ...

A Smart Single‐Loop‐Mediated Isothermal Amplification Facilitates Flexible SNP Probe Design for On‐Site Rapid Differentiation of SARS‐CoV‐2 Omicron Variants

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The ssLAMP method amplifies the nucleic acid of pathogen and identifies SNP mutations. By combining the portable detection device with smartphone‐based analysis software, enables rapid, on‐site SNP detection and genotyping of SARS‐Cov‐2 Omicron variants, providing a cost‐effective and field‐deployable solution for precise pathogen identification in ...
