Static Analysis of Malicious Java Applets

open access: yesProceedings of the 2016 ACM on International Workshop on Security And Privacy Analytics, 2016
In this research we consider the problem of detecting malicious Java applets, based on static analysis. Dynamic analysis can be more informative, since it is immune to many common obfuscation techniques, while static analysis is often more efficient, since it does not require code execution or emulation.

A Common UDP-Glucuronosyltransferase (UGT)1A Haplotype Is Associated With Accelerated Aging in Humanized Transgenic Mice

open access: yesOxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Background: Aging is characterized by the progressive decline of physiological functions and is associated with an increasing risk for developing multiple age‐related diseases. UDP‐glucuronosyltransferase (UGT)1A enzymes detoxify a variety of endo‐ and xenobiotic reactive metabolites, thereby acting as indirect antioxidants.

Chava: reverse engineering and tracking of Java applets [PDF]

open access: yesSixth Working Conference on Reverse Engineering (Cat. No.PR00303), 2003
Java applets have been used increasingly on Web sites to perform client-side processing and provide dynamic content. While many Web site analysis tools are available, their focus has been on static HTML content and most ignore applet code completely. The paper presents Chava, a system that analyzes and tracks changes in Java applets.
