Clinical Anatomy, 2001AbstractThe morphology of the mandibular canal after loss of teeth has received little detailed attention. Improved documentation of this topic would allow better interpretation of dental radiographs and would enable those engaged in tooth implantation to better understand the nature of the tissue into which the prostheses are placed.

Panoramic radiographic examination of edentulous jaws.
Quintessence international (Berlin, Germany : 1985), 1999Many dentists routinely make panoramic radiographs of edentulous patients who request replacement dentures. A study was conducted in patients who attended a Jordanian dental school seeking a new set of dentures. Patients who had at least one set of complete dentures and were treated elsewhere, were included in this study.
