Four cases of unusual types of jaw-bone cysts (paradental, lateral periodontal/botryoid type, sialo-odontogenic, and intraosseous dermoid cyst) are reported. Radiographic and histopathologic features are described. Current literature is reviewed with special attention given to radiographic, histogenetic, and histopathologic aspects of these entities.

Pediatric Odontogenic Cysts of the Jaws
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinics of North America, 2016Odontogenic cysts represent a common form of pathology of the jaws, and the natural history, clinicopathologic findings, and appropriate management strategies are important to the oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Ultrastructure of odontogenic jaw cysts
European Journal of Oral Sciences, 1984Abstract –The epithelial ultrastructure of six radicular cysts, four follicular cysts, and five keratocysts was studied with special attention to the epithelium‐connective tissue junction, Inflammation was found to cause widened interepithelial cell spaces which often harbored inflammatory cells in the radicular and follicular cysts. The characteristic

Abstract The findings in a clinicopathologic study of sixty-six previously unreported cases of traumatic bone cysts are presented and compared with the findings in more than 150 previously reported cases. Most of the patients were between 11 and 20 years of age, and there was no difference in the incidence of the lesion between the sexes.

Aneurysmal Bone Cysts of the Jaws
Annals of Otology, Rhinology & Laryngology, 1994Aneurysmal bone cysts of the jaws are histologically the same as those found in the more usual appendicular sites for this lesion. They may be primary or secondary (associated with another definable osseous lesion) and have a 2:1 or 3:1 predilection for the mandible over the maxilla.

Aneurysmal bone cysts of the jaws
British Journal of Oral Surgery, 1979Two cases of aneurysmal bone cyst are recorded. In the first there is clinical evidence to suggest that the lesion had been present for an unusually long period while incomplete clinical records of the other also indicate an unusual history. Histologically both lesions show a paucity of giant cells.
