Coincidence of nasopalatine duct cyst and dentigerous cyst: A case report

open access: yesJournal of Craniomaxillofacial Research, 2023
Dentigerous cyst is one of the most common odontogenic cysts of the jaw that slowly grows around an unerupted tooth crown. Nasopalatine duct cyst is a non-odontogenic common jaw cyst. Co-occurrence of nasopalatine duct cyst and dentigerous cyst in the

Clinicoradiopathologic Analysis of Odontomas: A Retrospective Study of 242 Cases

open access: yesDentistry Journal, 2023
Odontomas are considered hamartomatous lesions and are one of the two most common odontogenic tumors of the jaw. Odontomas are classified as compound or complex.

400-MHz nuclear magnetic resonance metabolite profiles of jaw cysts, jaw abscesses, saliva, and urine obtained by massive D2O dilution of samples

open access: yes, 2023
The metabolite profiles of various cysts and abscesses outside the jaw area have been investigated by magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) using water-suppression techniques.

Bottom‐Up Engineering of a Human Neuromuscular System for Modeling Activity‐Induced Remodeling, Metabolic Stress, and Endothelial‐Modulated Excitability

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Using a bottom‐up approach, we engineered a human neuromuscular microchip to investigate distinct adaptive responses to neural stimulation and metabolic stress. Further integration of endothelial cells revealed their critical role in modulating neuromuscular excitability, establishing a comprehensive neurovascular‐muscular model.

Volumetric reduction in large cystic jaw lesions postoperative enucleation: a longitudinal clinical study

open access: yesBMC Oral Health, 2023
Background Enucleation, a surgical procedure, is commonly used to treat large jaw cysts, unicystic ameloblastomas and keratocysts. However, it remains unclear to what extent the jaw bone regenerates after enucleation.

Management of inflammatory dentigerous cysts in children : report of two cases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Inflammatory dentigerous cysts are usually associated with a carious or non-vital primary tooth. Consequently they are found in children with a mixed dentition.

Controllable Cascade Aggregation Ion Programmed Nanomachines and Simple Isolation Enable Tumor‐Derived Small Extracellular Vesicles Detection for Enhanced Breast Cancer Assessment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study developed a convenient, enzyme‐free detection platform based on controllable aggregation ion nanomachines. Its favorable anti‐interference capacity and high sensitivity meet the detection requirements for clinical samples processed via a simple filtration method within 10 min.

Hydatid cyst involving the mandible ramus

open access: yesAutopsy and Case Reports, 2023
Parasitic infections rarely involve the oral and maxillofacial regions and pose a diagnostic challenge when they do. Hydatid cysts are parasitic cysts caused by Echinococcus granulosus.

Homologous membrane wrapped ZIF‐8 nanoparticles accelerate differentiation of neural stem cell for spinal cord injury therapy

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Homologous membrane wrapped ZIF‐8 nanoparticles were proposed to improve biocompatibility and targeting ability to neural stem cells (NSCs). ZIF‐8‐SCM NPs exhibit pH responsiveness, thereby generating an intracellular Zn2+ storm to accelerate neural differentiation through calcium and MAPK signaling pathways. Moreover, they promote function recovery in
