Reliable Dual Tensor Model Estimation in Single and Crossing Fibers Based on Jeffreys Prior. [PDF]
This paper presents and studies a framework for reliable modeling of diffusion MRI using a data-acquisition adaptive prior.Automated relevance determination estimates the mean of the posterior distribution of a rank-2 dual tensor model exploiting ...

Meta-analysis with Jeffreys priors: Empirical frequentist properties. [PDF]
AbstractIn small meta-analyses (e.g., up to 20 studies), the best-performing frequentist methods can yield very wide confidence intervals for the meta-analytic mean, as well as biased and imprecise estimates of the heterogeneity. We investigate the frequentist performance of alternative Bayesian methods that use the invariant Jeffreys prior. This prior

A Direct Bayesian Methodology to Identify the Order of Moving Average Processes using Different Prior Distributions [PDF]
The current study handles the direct Bayesian identification of moving average processes based on different priors. The priors considered in the article are g, natural-conjugate as well as Jeffreys' priors. Posterior probability mass functions for moving

Geometric properties of noninformative priors based on the chi-square divergence
Recently, a noninformative prior distribution that is different from the Jeffreys prior was derived as an extension of Bernardo's reference prior based on the chi-square divergence.

The Bayesian confidence intervals for measuring the difference between dispersions of rainfall in Thailand [PDF]
The coefficient of variation is often used to illustrate the variability of precipitation. Moreover, the difference of two independent coefficients of variation can describe the dissimilarity of rainfall from two areas or times.

Bayesian Inference under Small Sample Sizes Using General Noninformative Priors
This paper proposes a Bayesian inference method for problems with small sample sizes. A general type of noninformative prior is proposed to formulate the Bayesian posterior.

Confidence Intervals for the Ratio of Variances of Delta-Gamma Distributions with Applications
Since rainfall data often contain zero observations, the ratio of the variances of delta-gamma distributions can be used to compare the rainfall dispersion between two rainfall datasets.

Fisher–Rao geometry and Jeffreys prior for Pareto distribution [PDF]
In this paper, we investigate the Fisher-Rao geometry of the two-parameter family of Pareto distribution. We prove that its geometrical structure is isometric to the Poincaré upper half-plane model, and then study the corresponding geometrical features by presenting explicit expressions for connection, curvature and geodesics.

Confidence intervals for the coefficient of variation and the difference between coefficients of variation of inverse-gamma distributions [PDF]
The aim of this study is to establish new confidence intervals for the single coefficient of variation of an inversegamma distribution using Bayesian methods based on the Jeffreys, reference, and uniform priors and compare them with the Wald method. The
