Strongyloides Infestation of the Jejunum

Strongyloides is a nematode genus of which various species infect mammals. The species S. stercoralis is found in men and in dogs in various parts of the world and especially in the moist tropics. Man is infected by the filariform larvae which develop in moist soil and penetrate the skin. Oral infection is also possible (Shattuck, 1951).

Primary Liposarcoma of the Jejunum

The rare case of a primary liposarcoma of the jejunum in a 52-year-old man is described. The main tumor mass was located within the submucosa and caused chronic subileus by subtotal obstruction of the jejunum. The histology showed a mixed type liposarcoma.
