Complex Firms, Controversial Outcomes: Global Evidence on ESG Failures and Remedies

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We examine whether business complexity increases firms' exposure to negative environmental, social, and governance (ESG) outcomes, specifically ESG controversies, using a global panel of firms from 37 countries over the period 2002–2021.

ON THE STABILITY OF A CAUCHY-JENSEN FUNCTIONAL EQUATION

open access: yesCommunications of the Korean Mathematical Society, 2008
In this paper, we prove the stability of a Cauchy-Jensen functional equation =f(x, z)+f(x, w)+f(y, z)+f(y, w) in the sense of Th. M. Rassias.

Conditional distributivity of overlap functions over uninorms with continuous underlying operators [PDF]

open access: yes
summary:The investigations of conditional distributivity are encouraged by distributive logical connectives and their generalizations used in fuzzy set theory and were brought into focus by Klement in the closing session of Linzs 2000.

Innovation‐Led Sustainability in the Agri‐Food Sector: Evidence From the Global Food and Beverage Industry

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The agri‐food sector is vital to economic development, but it exerts significant environmental and social pressures. This study draws on the natural resource‐based view. It investigates the strategic sustainability‐performance nexus in the global food and beverage industry using a longitudinal dataset (2013–2023) of 633 firms across the EU ...

Exploring Supply Chain Visibility for Circularity: A Delphi Approach

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Circular supply chains (CSCs) depend on enhanced supply chain visibility (SCV) to track and manage resource flows and thereby enable efficient decision‐making. Despite confronting silo mentalities, fragmented information, technological barriers, resistance to change, and a lack of standardization, data sharing remains crucial for SCV and ...

Free Trade Zones and Corporate ESG: Evidence From a Quasi‐Natural Experiment in China

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines how China's Pilot Free Trade Zones (FTZs) influence corporate ESG performance. Using a staggered difference‐in‐differences model on Chinese listed firms from 2009 to 2024, we combine coarsened exact matching (CEM) and geography‐based instrumental variables to ensure robust identification.

Do Sustainability Committees Mitigate or Exacerbate ESG Decoupling?

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates the impact of sustainability committees (SCs) on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) decoupling in US publicly listed firms. In particular, it examines their influence on overall and dimension‐specific (E, S, G) ESG decoupling and distinguishes their effects on internal versus external ESG actions.

Stability of Jensen functional equation on semigroups

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2010
A real function \(f\) defined on a semigroup \(S\) is Jensen if it satisfies the functional equation \(f(xyz)+f(xzy)+2f(x)-2f(xy)-2f(xz)=0\). In this paper, the authors investigate the Hyers-Ulam stability of the above equation and prove that each semigroup can be embedded into a semigroup such that the equation above is stable.

What Do We Know About Scope 3 Emissions in Small‐ and Medium‐Sized Enterprises? Mapping Current Knowledge and Advancing a Theory–Practice‐Oriented Framework

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Although SMEs comprise over 90% of firms globally, research on their engagement with Scope 3 (value‐chain) greenhouse gas emissions remains limited. This PRISMA‐guided systematic review synthesises 49 SME‐relevant studies to develop a theory‐informed, practice‐oriented framework for more credible and sustained Scope 3 engagement.

On a quadratic type functional equation on locally compact abelian groups

open access: yesActa Universitatis Sapientiae: Mathematica, 2018
Let (G,+) be a locally compact abelian Hausdorff group, 𝓀 is a finite automorphism group of G, κ = card𝒦 and let µ be a regular compactly supported complex-valued Borel measure on G such that μ(G)=1κ $\mu ({\rm{G}}) = {1 \over \kappa }$ .
