Impact of Low‐Dose Cranberry Polyphenols on Gut Microbiota and Circulating Polyphenol Metabolites in Overweight and Obese Individuals (A Randomized Double‐Blind Placebo‐Controlled Clinical Pilot Study)

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
The health‐promoting effects of cranberry are largely attributed to its polyphenol content, which is known to reach the colon in largely unmetabolized form. The cranberry group significantly elevated catechol‐O‐sulfate levels compared to the placebo group.

Replicability of Functional Brain Networks: A Study Through the Lens of Seven Resting‐State Networks

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 8, June 1, 2026.
This study assesses the impact of preprocessing pipeline, 0.01–0.1 Hz band‐pass filtering, and brain parcellation on the replicability of functional connectivity estimates in seven resting‐state networks for multi‐site fMRI data. We find large effects for pipeline and parcellation on FC estimates, while band‐pass filtering has little effect.

Analysis of symbolic sequences using the Jensen-Shannon divergence

open access: yes, 2020
We study statistical properties of the Jensen-Shannon divergence D, which quantifies the difference between probability distributions, and which has been widely applied to analyses of symbolic sequences.

On the Approximation of the Integral Mean Divergence and f-Divergence via Mean Results

open access: yes, 2002
Results involving the approximation of the difference between two integral means are utilised to obtain bounds on the Integral Mean Divergence and the f−divergence due to Csiszár. The current work does not restrict the functions involved to be convex. If

Text Mining in Bibliometrics and Science Mapping: A Methodological Review

open access: yesWIREs Computational Statistics, Volume 18, Issue 2, June 2026.
Text mining has become a foundational component of contemporary bibliometrics and science mapping, enabling systematic analysis of the semantic structure, thematic evolution, and cognitive organization of scientific fields. Integrating textual evidence with relational indicators enriches knowledge maps and supports more comprehensive, content‐sensitive

Pass‐Through of Cocoa Prices Along the Supply Chain: What's Left for Farmers in Côte d'Ivoire?

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Economics, Volume 77, Issue 2, Page 411-428, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Most cocoa farmers in Côte d'Ivoire are trapped in a cycle of poverty and farming practices that degrade the environment. This paper aims to provide an in‐depth understanding of the price formation process for cocoa at each stage of the supply chain in the world's largest cocoa‐producing country.

Interplay of crop diversity and agricultural area in agroecosystem services: Analytical and empirical study on local water quality

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Agricultural Economics/Revue canadienne d'agroeconomie, Volume 74, Issue 2, Page 149-169, June 2026.
Abstract This study expands the framework for analyzing the interplay of agricultural area and crop diversity on agroecosystem services by incorporating the species‐area relationship concept from biology. We estimate panel fixed effects models that include both agricultural area and crop diversity, along with their interaction term.

Home Safe Home: Safety Gains Through Telework During the Covid‐19 Pandemic

open access: yesLABOUR, Volume 40, Issue 2, Page 162-192, June 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper exploits exogenous shifts in work organisation during the Covid‐19 pandemic to study the implications of hybrid and remote work arrangements on occupational safety. Combining accident registers and household survey microdata from Hungary, we are able to address potential selection and reporting bias, and reliably identify the ...
