Development and Validation of a Short Version Eye‐Tracking Paradigm for the Screening and Diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder in Qatar

open access: yesAutism Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective behavioral assessments for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are often time‐intensive and require substantial clinical expertise. Eye‐tracking–based paradigms offer quantifiable measures of social attention that can complement traditional tools.

Prescribing competence: The pros and cons of different methods for assessment

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Evaluating a medical graduate’s competence in rational prescribing is challenging. With the aim to guide and inspire teachers, this narrative review explores different methods that can be used to assess prescribing competence. Each method has its own advantages and disadvantages, and thus a mix of different assessment methods is needed throughout the ...

On a Family of Hamilton–Poisson Jerk Systems

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we construct a family of Hamilton–Poisson jerk systems. We show that such a system has infinitely many Hamilton–Poisson realizations. In addition, we discuss the stability and we prove the existence of periodic orbits around nonlinearly stable equilibrium points.

Hypnotic doses of fazamorexant induced less impairment on balance and cognition than zolpidem in healthy younger and elderly individualse

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aims Fazamorexant is a dual orexin receptor antagonist being developed for the treatment of insomnia. This study aims to determine the dose‐exposure‐response relationship of single‐dose fazamorexant vs. zolpidem in young adult and elderly healthy Chinese volunteers. Methods This single‐centre, randomized, double‐blind, double‐dummy, placebo‐ and active‐

A Comparative Study of Brownian Dynamics Based on the Jerk Equation Against a Stochastic Process Under an External Force Field

open access: yesMathematics
Brownian motion has been studied since 1827, leading to numerous important advances in many branches of science and to it being studied primarily as a stochastic dynamical system.

Time-jerk optimal deployment trajectory planning of deployable parabolic cylindrical antenna

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2020
A time-jerk optimal deployment trajectory planning method of a large cable-strut deployable parabolic cylindrical antenna is proposed. First, in order to decouple the complex multi-loop mechanisms, the multi-loop basic mechanism of the deployable support

What works in internal alternative provision? A salutogenic analysis

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Schools across England are setting up ‘internal alternative provision’ to meet the social, emotional and mental health needs of increasing numbers of pupils at risk of suspension, exclusion and absence. However, there is little guidance about what good practice looks like.

Kalman smoothing with soft inequality constraints for space robot teleoperation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, 2018
Space robot teleoperation system with haptic device has two operation modes: offline teleoperation mode and online teleoperation mode. High acceleration and jerk produced by the teleoperation system may degrade the performance of trajectory tracking and ...

Cosmology with decaying cosmological constant -- exact solutions and model testing

open access: yes, 2015
We study dynamics of $\Lambda(t)$ cosmological models which are a natural generalization of the standard cosmological model (the $\Lambda$CDM model).

Simulation Study of The Jerk System Based on Multisim

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2023
Abstract Make an equivalent transformation of the equations of state for a class of Jerk systems, its chaotic dynamics behavior was analyzed. According to the equation of state, the schematic diagram of the chaotic circuit of the Jerk system was designed, and the Jerk circuit was simulated and experimented with Multisim software, and the
