The Cusp Bifurcation of a Jerk System
International Journal of Bifurcation and ChaosIn this paper, using smooth invertible variable transformations and smooth invertible parameter changes, we construct a jerk normal form for the cusp bifurcation of a jerk system with two parameters which displays a nondegenerate fold bifurcation.

Minimum-jerk trajectory generation for master-slave robotic system
2012 4th IEEE RAS & EMBS International Conference on Biomedical Robotics and Biomechatronics (BioRob), 2012This paper describes a trajectory generation method for a master-slave surgical robotic system. Because the data from the master system is intermittent due the limited master-slave communication rate, interpolation is required to achieve smooth motion of the slave robot. In particular, real-time interpolation is crucial for surgical systems.

Impulsive homoclinic chaos in Van der Pol Jerk system
Transactions of Tianjin University, 2010A 3D continuous autonomous chaotic system is reported, which contains a cubic term and six system parameters. Basic dynamic properties of the new Van der Pol Jerk system are studied by means of theoretical analysis and numerical simulation. Based on the Silnikov theorem, the chaotic characterisitics of the dynamic system are discussed.
