Investigation of interface erosion rate by Jet Erosion Test and statistical analysis [PDF]

CFD study of Jet Impingement Test erosion using Ansys Fluent® and OpenFOAM® [PDF]
The initial aim of this study was to compare OpenFoam and Ansys Fluent in order to verify OpenFoam's Lagrangian Library and erosion capabilities. However, it was found that previous versions of Fluent have been providing wrong results for the discrete phase and the differences with the latest version (Ansys Fluent 15) are shown.

Field Jet Erosion Tests on Benbrook Dam, Texas [PDF]
This report summarizes the results of eight field Jet Erosion Tests (JETs) performed on Benbrook Dam, TX. The results from these tests will be used by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, in assessments of the erosion resistance of the Benbrook Dam with regards to possible overtopping by extreme flooding.

Research on Cavitation Wake Vortex Structures Near the Impeller Tip of a Water-Jet Pump
Cavitation can cause noise in the water-jet pump. If cavitation occurs in the water-jet pump, the hydraulic components in the pump are prone to erosion. The surface erosion reduces energy delivery efficiency and increases maintenance costs.
