Jet mixing of fluids in tanks.

open access: bronzeJOURNAL OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERING OF JAPAN, 1982
An experimental investigation was made of the mixing of liquids in a tank where the liquid jet was injected through a nozzle. The mixing time was defined as the time required to reduce the concentration variation within 1% of the mixed mean value and was measured by an impulse response. The circulation time was also obtained from the response curve. It

Heat Transfer Enhancement in Tubular Heat Exchanger with Jet Impingement: A Review

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Research in Fluid Mechanics and Thermal Sciences, 2023
Heat exchanger (HE) is a thermal device used to transfer heat from higher fluid temperatures to lower fluid temperatures. There is an increasing need to increase the efficiency of HEs, develop a wide range of investigations to increase heat transfer rate

Instability of an active fluid jet

open access: yesPhysical Review Fluids, 2022
The breakup of a fluid jet into droplets has long fascinated natural scientists, with early research dating back to the 19th century. Infinitesimal perturbations to a jet grow because of surface tension, which eventually leads to breakup of the jet into droplets (Rayleigh-Plateau instability).

Analysis of single-fluid jet grouting [PDF]

open access: yesGéotechnique, 2000
An overall analysis of single-fluid jet grouting is presented. Current concepts and design rules are first reviewed and compared. Alternative approaches to the analysis of single-fluid jet grouting are proposed and implemented with experimental data and observations taken from recent and well-documented case histories.
