Vortical structure in the wake of a transverse jet [PDF]
Structural features resulting from the interaction of a turbulent jet issuing transversely into a uniform stream are described with the help of flow visualization and hot-wire anemometry. Jet-to-crossflow velocity ratios from 2 to 10 were investigated at

Plane turbulent buoyant jets. Part 2. Turbulence structure [PDF]
The turbulence structure of a plane vertical buoyant jet in the transition state from jet-like to plume-like growth is the object of this investigation. The ambient fluid is of uniform density and motionless except for the flow induced by the jet. An

Multifunctional Microstructured Surfaces by Microcontact Printing of Reactive Microgels
Reactive poly(N‐vinylcaprolactam‐co‐glycidyl methacrylate) microgels are used as functional inks to create surface‐grafted arrays on glass via microcontact printing. The patterns (10–50 µm widths and spacings) enable stable binding and post‐functionalization with dyes and peptides.

A numerical investigation on the vortex formation and flow separation of the oscillatory flow in jet pumps [PDF]
A two-dimensional computational fluid dynamics model is used to predict the oscillatory flow through a tapered cylindrical tube section (jet pump) placed in a larger outer tube.

Falling jets of particles in viscous fluids [PDF]
We have investigated the time evolution of a jet of non-Brownian particles falling under the action of gravity in a viscous liquid at low Reynolds number. Different regimes have been observed depending on volume fraction and particle-to-jet diameter ratio.

Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

Kinematics of local entrainment and detrainment in a turbulent jet
In this paper we investigate the continuous, local exchange of fluid elements as they are entrained and detrained across the turbulent/non-turbulent interface (TNTI) in a high Reynolds number axisymmetric jet.
