Turbulent Mixing in Transverse Jets [PDF]
Turbulent mixing is studied in liquid-phase transverse jets. Jet-fluid concentration fields were measured using laser-induced fluorescence and digital-imaging techniques, for jets in the Reynolds number range 1000

Jet Propagation and Mach Cones in (3+1)d Ideal Hydrodynamics
The observation of jet quenching and associated away--side Mach cone--like correlations at RHIC provide powerful ``external'' probes of the sQGP produced in A+A reactions, but it simultaneously raises the question where the jet energy was deposited.

This research introduces a cold plasma‐based platform for treating breast cancer bone metastases. Using a novel bioprinted 3D tumor‐stroma model, it highlights the selective antitumor effects of plasma‐generated reactive species. The platform aims to advance non‐invasive therapeutic strategies, offering potential clinical applications in controlling ...

This review explores how soft fibrous tissues achieve their remarkable mechanical behavior through recurring structural motifs across multiple length scales. It highlights key advances in mimicking these features using fiber‐reinforced hydrogels and hierarchical composites, offering insights into mechanical compatibility, flaw tolerance, and tear ...

Fiber orientation in electrospun scaffolds affects permeability and fluid dynamics in microfluidic devices. Combining experimental data with computational fluid dynamic simulations, we show that aligned fibers enhance flow uniformity, reduce pressure and shear stress variability.

UV Laser‐Induced Carbon Microelectrode Arrays for Neuronal Recordings
Thin‐film electrodes are flexible devices of high conformability and minimal dimensions with attractive properties for in vivo and in vitro bioelectronics. Here, electrodes are developed from parylene films via ultraviolet laser‐induced carbonization.

Axially symmetric jets of compressible fluid [PDF]
In this paper, the author proved the existence and uniqueness of a steady solution of the compressible axisymmetric jet problem. The problem was described within the formulation of irrotational flow, and it was proved that the jet problem and the previously examined variational problem are equivalent.

Emission of Low Momentum Particles at Large Angles from Jet
We study dynamics of a QGP fluid induced by energetic partons propagating through it. We construct a (3+1)-dimensional QGP-fluid+Jet model. When a jet traverses a uniform fluid, it induces a Mach cone structure of energy density distribution and a vortex

A poly(hydroxy‐oxazolidone) (PHOx) is synthesized from CO2‐based precursors, enabling the up‐cycling of this waste material. After synthesis, PHOx shows thermoplastic properties, and can therefore be processed by many temperature‐dependent techniques. PHOx is hemocompatible, anti‐adhesive, and biocompatible, which is demonstrated in vitro and in vivo ...
