Time dependence of solid-particle impingement erosion of an aluminum alloy [PDF]

open access: yes
Erosion studies were conducted on 6061-T6511 aluminum alloy by using jet impingement of glass beads and crushed glass particles to investigate the influence of exposure time on volume loss rate at different pressures.

Figure‐of‐Eight Stabilizing Shoulder Taping Combined With Ultrasound‐Guided Exercise Therapy for Traumatic Recurrent Massive Rotator Cuff Tear: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Figure‐of‐eight stabilizing shoulder taping immediately reduced pain and restored joint centering in a patient with traumatic recurrent massive rotator cuff tear. When combined with real‐time ultrasound‐guided exercise therapy, it facilitated selective posterior cuff activation and enabled short‐term functional recovery, offering a feasible ...

Influence of nozzle arrangement on flow and heat transfer characteristics of arrays of circular impinging jets [PDF]

open access: yesSongklanakarin Journal of Science and Technology (SJST), 2013
The effect of jet arrangements on flow and heat transfer characteristics was experimentally and numerically investigatedfor arrays of impinging jets. The air jets discharge from round orifices and perpendicularly impinge on a surface within arectangular ...

Novel Wide‐Spectrum Virucidal Lipid Nanoparticles

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 7, 2 February 2026.
POSTAN is a novel broad‐spectrum antiviral nanoparticle that combines safety with potent virucidal activity. Composed of biocompatible lipids, it mimics heparan sulfate proteoglycans and lipid rafts exploited by viruses, thereby dismantling viral envelopes and blocking replication.

Ligand Co‐Deposition in Focused Electron Beam Induced Nanoprinting: A Predictive Composition Model

open access: yesSmall Methods, Volume 10, Issue 3, 9 February 2026.
Nanoprinting using focused electron beam induced deposition (FEBID) with metalorganic molecules (ML) offers unparalleled spatial resolution and flexibility in 3D shape design. Here the key feature of nanoprint material is addressed ‐ its metal composition.

Advances in the Development of Lipid Nanoparticles for mRNA Delivery

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 2, February 2026.
This review provides an integrated overview of mRNA–lipid nanoparticle (LNP) design, including lipid composition, scalable manufacturing, and structure–activity relationships. We highlight strategies for targeted delivery, physicochemical tuning, and high‐throughput screening such as DNA barcoding.

Forcing of Subannual‐to‐Decadal Sea Level Variability and the Recent Rapid Rise Along the U.S. Gulf Coast

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Oceans, Volume 131, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract From the mid‐late 2000s through at least the mid‐2010s, dynamic sea level (DSL) along the U.S. Gulf Coast rose at a rate of ∼5–6 mm yr−1 ${\text{yr}}^{-1}$, almost twice the rate of global mean steric plus barystatic sea level rise. Previous statistical and numerical modeling studies have suggested a number of hypotheses for this enhanced rise.

Determination of wind tunnel constraint effects by a unified pressure signature method. Part 2: Application to jet-in-crossflow [PDF]

open access: yes
The development of an improved jet-in-crossflow model for estimating wind tunnel blockage and angle-of-attack interference is described. Experiments showed that the simpler existing models fall seriously short of representing far-field flows properly.
