Cavitation in Submerged Water Jet at High Jet Pressure

Volume 2: Fora, 2015
Recent industrial applications have unfolded a promising prospect for submerged water jet. Apart from widely acknowledged water jet properties, submerged water jet is characterized by the formation and complex evolution of cavitation bubbles. These bubbles not just alter the flow behavior of submerged water jet but also pose a profound effect upon ...

Jet‐to‐jet interactions in atmospheric‐pressure plasma jet arrays for surface processing

Plasma Processes and Polymers, 2017
Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Jet (APPJ) arrays are considered as one of the most promising methods for uniform plasma processing of large uneven surfaces. To improve the downstream uniformity and enhance the surface treatment effects, it is important to reveal the mechanisms of the jet‐to‐jet interactions of plasma plumes in the jet array. In this paper,

Calculations of axisymmetric jet leaving a nozzle at jet pressure lower than pressure in medium

Fluid Dynamics, 1967
The problem of discharge of a supersonic axisymmetric jet from a nozzle at a jet pressure less than the pressure in the surrounding medium is considered. A calculation method is presented with account for the subsonic flow downstream of the central shock which forms near the axis of symmetry.
