Numerical investigation of the cavitation instability in a central jet pump with a large area ratio at normal cavitating conditions

International Journal of Multiphase Flow, 2019
Cavitation in central jet pumps has gained much attention for its effect on transportation efficiency and the safe and stable operation of systems. In order to investigate the mechanism of the cavitation instability in central jet pumps with large area ...

Structure influence on jet pump operating limits

Chemical Engineering and Science, 2018
To increase the operating range for cavitating quantitative mixing devices, a new jet pump is proposed. The distribution of pressure, velocity, turbulent dissipation rate, and vapor bubbles were studied numerically, and the influence of geometric ...

Drill Stem Testing with Jet Pump

SPE Latin America Petroleum Engineering Conference, 1990
ABSTRACT While DST is not new to the oil industry, some of the methods of augmenting flow are changing. One of the more recent changes to be accepted is the use of the Jet Pump to improve producing capabilities and make DST more meaningful and more accurate.

A Jet Pump Design Theory

Journal of Basic Engineering, 1960
A compressible flow jet pump theory is evolved which can be more easily interpreted for design purposes than existing theories. It consists of a one-dimensional analysis based on the momentum equation and on complete mixing, used in conjunction with an over-all pressure recovery factor which is found experimentally.
