Jet-Jet and Jet-Wall Interactions of Transient Jets from Multi-Hole Injectors
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1999<div class="htmlview paragraph">Interactions between the jets in a multi-hole injector and between the jet and the wall may affect the fuel-air mixing processes in a direct-injection Diesel engine. These interactions are the subject of the investigation in this work.

There is no jet substructure without jets. Jets are ubiquitous objects in collider physics, which have been used for 40 years. This Chapter discusses the concept jets as collimated sprays of particles (or flows of energy). It also introduces the algorithms which are used for their practical definitions, basic experimental aspects and the software ...

Jet vectoring using synthetic jets
Journal of Fluid Mechanics, 2002The interaction between a conventional rectangular (primary) air jet and a co-flowing synthetic jet is investigated experimentally. The nozzles of both jets have the same long dimension but the aspect ratio of the synthetic jet orifice is 25 times larger.

My subject is a topic in astrophysical fluid dynamics; specifically, the behavior of the supersonic jets that are observed to squirt out of the nuclei of active galaxies, compact stellar objects, and proto-stars. Some years ago, I had the good fortune to discuss this topic with Hans Liepmann, who quickly recognized that astrophysical jets pose some ...
