A new small satellite sunspot triggering recurrent standard- and blowout-coronal jets
In this paper,we report a detailed analysis of recurrent jets originated from a location with emerging, canceling and converging negative magnetic field at the east edge of NOAA active region AR11166 from 2011 March 09 to 10.

Acoustic Measures Capture Speech Dysfunction in Spinocerebellar Ataxia
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxias (SCA) are hereditary cerebellar degenerative disorders with a common feature of dysarthria, involving impaired phonatory and articulatory control of speech, thereby affecting social communication. In this study, we investigated whether acoustic measures could objectively measure speech dysfunction and identify

Non-Thermal Emission from Radio-Loud AGN Jets: Radio vs. X-rays
We consider the sample of 55 blazars and Seyferts cross-correlated from the Planck all-sky survey based on the Early Release Compact Source Catalog (ERCSC) and Swift BAT 105-Month Hard X-ray Survey. The radio Planck spectra vs.

Pure Samples of Quark and Gluon Jets at the LHC [PDF]
Having pure samples of quark and gluon jets would greatly facilitate the study of jet properties and substructure, with many potential standard model and new physics applications.

Stationary relativistic jets [PDF]
AbstractIn this paper we describe a simple numerical approach which allows to study the structure of steady-state axisymmetric relativistic jets using one-dimensional time-dependent simulations. It is based on the fact that for narrow jets with $v_{z}\approx c$ v z

Associations of Sleep and Shift Work With Osteoarthritis Risk
Objective Daily rhythms may be critical for maintaining homeostasis of joint tissues. We aimed to investigate the relationships among circadian clock disruption, sleep, and osteoarthritis (OA) risk in humans. Methods In the UK Biobank, a prospective 500,000–person cohort, we evaluated associations among sleep duration, sleeplessness/insomnia, and shift

A Chandra Survey of Quasar Jets: First Results
We present results from Chandra X-ray imaging and spectroscopy of a flux-limited sample of flat spectrum radio-emitting quasars with jet-like extended structure. Twelve of twenty quasar jets are detected in 5 ks ACIS-S exposures.

Chromospheric jets around the edges of sunspots [PDF]
Aims. Evidence is beginning to be put forward that demonstrates the role of the chromosphere in supplying energy and mass to the corona. We aim to asses the role of chromospheric jets in active region dynamics. Methods.

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.
