Mein Kampf i jezik nacionalsocijalizma - Povijesna obilježenost pojmova kao argument za zabranu političke stranke

open access: yesNova Prisutnost

Linking sap flow and tree water deficit in an unmanaged, mixed beech forest during the summer drought 2022

open access: yesPlant Biology, Volume 28, Issue 3, Page 747-761, April 2026.
Sap flow and reversible stem shrinkage upon water depletion are strongly correlated under extreme drought conditions, but they respond differently to drought and cannot be used interchangeably when assessing tree response to drought. Abstract Temperate mixed forests are currently experiencing severe drought conditions and face increased risk of ...

Results from a three year testing project of new strawberry cultivars in Verticillium infested soils and under organic farming conditions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
As part of a research project 13 cultivars were planted in 2005 at 11 sites on 9 farms in 5 different Austrian regions. The aim was to find new cultivars tolerant to soil-borne pathogens and leaf/fruit diseases, with high yield, winter hardness and ...

Emerging trend of increasing spring frost damage for beech at higher elevations in the Jura Mountains: evidence from tree‐ring data

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 248, Issue 2, Page 600-614, October 2025.
Summary Late spring frost (LSF) severely impacts tree growth and forest productivity, with global warming potentially altering LSF risk due to asymmetric changes in vegetation onset and frost timing. However, reconstructing past frost regimes with climatic and phenological data remains challenging. Using phenological models, high‐resolution climate and

Provenance Variation in Functional Traits of European Forest Trees: Meta‐Analysis Reveals Effects of Taxa and Age Despite Critical Research Gaps

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 8, August 2025.
This meta‐analysis on intraspecific variation in European trees studied the frequency of provenance variation, provenance–environment interaction, clinal variation along the climate of origin or transfer distance. While identifying trait group specific patterns of variation, research gaps have been identified in terms of age and geographical ...

Normalized tree water deficit: an automated dendrometer signal to quantify drought stress in trees

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 247, Issue 3, Page 1186-1198, August 2025.
Summary Trees often encounter periods of low soil water availability and high vapor pressure deficit, which induce drought stress and significantly impair their physiological functioning, growth, and survival. Automated dendrometers are valuable tools for quantifying signals related to tree water status, such as tree water deficit (TWD).

Issues in Balto-Slavic accentology [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
After the very well-organized Leiden conference for which we must be grateful to Tijmen Pronk, it seems appropriate for me to review some of the papers, as I did after the previous conferences in Zagreb and Copenhagen. The aim of this review is merely to

No Future Growth Enhancement Expected at the Northern Edge for European Beech due to Continued Water Limitation

open access: yesGlobal Change Biology, Volume 30, Issue 10, October 2024.
We investigated climate sensitivity of European beech tree growth and projected growth over the coming decades (2021–2050) using a continental‐scale tree‐ring network. Due to its widespread water limitation, growth declines are expected across most of the distribution, growth increases limited to cool mountainous areas.
