The unloading failure process in mining engineering scenarios is similar to the loading failure process at different loading rates indoor. To clarify the relationship between the mechanical properties of backfill and the loading rate, a particle flow code 2D‐based numerical simulation was performed to establish the backfill model, and tests involving ...

In deep hard‐rock mines, the failure of subsurface structures (e.g., tunnels, stopes, and shafts) has been a significant problem affecting mining safety due to the high‐stress environment. In this paper, the mechanism of structural failure and instability is discussed, and optimized excavation methods are proposed for stress control in deep gold mines.

The Xiejiagou deposit is a representative medium‐sized gold deposit in Jiaodong the Peninsula, which contains gold reserves of 37.5 t. The orebodies are hosted in the Linglong biotite granite with a zircon LA‐ICP‐MS U–Pb age of 160.5 ± 1.3 Ma (N = 15, MSWD = 1.2) and are characterized by disseminated‐ or stockwork‐style ores.
