Optical Frequency Comb Generation Based on Optoelectronic Oscillator and Fabry-Perot Phase Modulator

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2023
We propose and demonstrate an optical pulse generator using optoelectronic oscillator (OEO) and Fabry-Perot phase modulator (FP-PM). A complete theoretical analysis is developed, and the advantages of the proposed system are also discussed.

A Tac1‐Expressing Brainstem Pathway Underlies the Pathogenesis of Trigeminal Neuralgia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A critical TG‐Sp5CTac1‐PBNTac1 pathway drives trigeminal neuropathic pain (TNP). Tac1‐expressing parabrachial nucleus (PBNTac1) neurons exhibit heightened responses to innocuous stimuli in TNP, and chemogenetic inhibition of these neurons effectively prevents TNP development.

Spintronic Bayesian Hardware Driven by Stochastic Magnetic Domain Wall Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Magnetic Probabilistic Computing (MPC) utilizes intrinsic stochastic dynamics in domain walls to establish a hardware foundation for uncertainty‐aware artificial intelligence. Thermally driven domain‐wall fluctuations, voltage‐controlled magnetic anisotropy, and TMR readout enable fully electrical, tunable probabilistic inference.

Telescope jitters and phase noise in the LISA interferometer [PDF]

open access: yesOptics Express, 2019
The Laser Interferometer Space Antenna aims to measure picometer changes of the 2.5 × 106 km sides of a triangular constellation of satellites. Each spacecraft hosts two telescopes that simultaneously transmit and receive laser beams measuring the constellation arms by heterodyning the received wavefronts with local references.

Surface Plasmon Enhanced Photoluminescence of Carbon Dots Formed In Situ on Silver Gratings

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Carbon emitters formed in situ on a silver grating via plasmonic catalysis yield enhanced spontaneous emission by preferential radiative decay into surface plasmons. Enhancement manifests as emission exhibiting characteristics of coherence (polarization, directionality), and accelerated lifetimes of ∼30 ps, yielding Purcell factors of ∼70.
