Bioclimatic Reorganization of Carbon–Water–Energy Coupling Revealed by Eddy Covariance and Interpretable Machine Learning

open access: yesGlobal Change Biology Communications, Volume 1, Issue 2, June 2026.
Ecosystem carbon, water, and energy exchange reorganize systematically along climatic gradients from humid to dry conditions. Tapering shapes indicate shifts in the relative importance of environmental drivers and ecosystem fluxes across climate space, with thicker ends representing greater influence or magnitude.

Application of geophysical methods to the assessment of environmental vulnerability of urban areas

open access: yesOpuscula Theologica et Scientifica
The pluvial flood hazard of an urban area can be characterized by the environmental vulnerability. It is a measure that depends on three spatial factors: morphology, water coverage and the drainage capacity of the ground.

Application of Statistical Shape Models to Standard Lumbar MRI for Stenosis Treatment Stratification: Severe Versus Normal Stenosis

open access: yesJOR SPINE, Volume 9, Issue 2, June 2026.
Statistical shape models (SSMs) derived from standard 2D lumbar MRIs capture coordinated morphological features that distinguish severe from normal spinal stenosis. Both intervertebral disc and combined models provide strong discriminatory power, comparable to or exceeding traditional anatomical measurements.
