Thixo‐Forging and Thixo‐Joining of an Integrated Product

steel research international, 2006
In an effort to investigate thixo‐joining of aluminium alloy AISi7Mg with bolts of different metals, a series of experiments was carried out. An aluminium master part of high geometric complexity was thixo‐forged. Then thixo‐joining experiments were conducted. While the thixo‐forging of the aluminium master part being completed, bolts of brass, copper,

Unretractive and S‐unretractive joins and lexicographic products of graphs

Journal of Graph Theory, 1987
AbstractGraphs without proper endomorphisms are the subject of this article. It is shown that the join of two graphs has this property if and only if both summands have it, and that the lexicographic product of a complete graph or an odd circuit as first factors has this property if and only if the second factor has it.

ON THE CROSSING NUMBER OF THE JOIN OF THE WHEEL ON FIVE VERTICES WITH THE DISCRETE GRAPH

Bulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society, 2019
We give the crossing number of the join product $W_{4}+D_{n}$, where $W_{4}$ is the wheel on five vertices and $D_{n}$ consists of $n$ isolated vertices.

Rapid bushy join-order optimization with Cartesian products

ACM SIGMOD Record, 1996
Query optimizers often limit the search space for join orderings, for example by excluding Cartesian products in subplans or by restricting plan trees to left-deep vines. Such exclusions are widely assumed to reduce optimization effort while minimally affecting plan quality. However, we show that searching the complete space of plans is more affordable

PRODUCTION CONTROL WITH ADVANCED DEMAND INFORMATION IN A JOIN-TYPE PRODUCTION LINE

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2006
Abstract Production control in serial production lines such as CONWIP, base stock control and kanban control have been studied by many researchers. Production lines, however, usually have fork-type, join-type or network-type figures. Production control analysis in such lines has seldom been discussed.

The productivity performance of Finnish and Norwegian dairy farms: the effect of joining/not joining the EU [PDF]

open access: possible, 2011
Dairy production has long been the most important production line in Finnish and Norwegian agriculture. Prior to Finland joining the EU, farm structure as well as national agricultural policy was very similar in the two countries. In this paper, we explore development and differences in productivity and efficiency trends in the two countries before and
