MapReduce-based similarity join for metric spaces
Proceedings of the 1st International Workshop on Cloud Intelligence, 2012Cloud enabled systems have become a crucial component to efficiently process and analyze massive amounts of data. One of the key data processing and analysis operations is the Similarity Join, which retrieves all data pairs whose distances are smaller than a predefined threshold e. Even though multiple algorithms and implementation techniques have been

Join spaces associated with fuzzy sets
1995Summary: We give a necessary and sufficient condition for the isomorphism of two join spaces, associated with fuzzy sets, on the same universe.

Binary relations, interval structures and join spaces
Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computing, 2002An interval structure can be represented by a binary relation. A hyperoperation is defined on a set equipped with a binary relation. In this paper the hyperstructures based on the related interval structures are studied. Some necessary and sufficient conditions on these hyperstructures to be hypergroups, join spaces and \(H_v\)-groupoids are obtained.

Collaborating Hope: Joining The In-Between Spaces
Journal of Pastoral Theology, 20161It does not take long to recognize multiple reasons for despair and Hopelessness in our world. In the months leading up to the meeting of the Society for Pastoral Theology in June 2016, our attent...

A Content-Addressable Network for Similarity Join in Metric Spaces
Proceedings of the Third International ICST Conference on Scalable Information Systems, 2008Similarity join is an interesting complement of the well-established similarity range and nearest neighbors search primitives in metric spaces. However, the quadratic computational complexity of similarity join prevents from applications on large data collections. We present MCAN+, an extension of MCAN (a Content-Addressable Network for metric objects)

Fuzzy sets, join spaces and factor spaces
2000The author [in Proceedings of the fifth international congress on Algebraic hyperstructures and applications, Iaşi, Romania, 1993, Hadronic Press, 45-52 (1994; Zbl 0847.20065)] showed how to associate some hypergroups (particularly join spaces) with a fuzzy set. In this paper this correspondence is analysed in detail for some important cases.

On the finite semi-join spaces and fuzzy sets.
2001Summary: Given a set \(H\) of cardinality 4, one has determined the tables of hyperoperations of join spaces and semi-join spaces associated in two different ways, with lower and upper approximations, of all fuzzy sets \(F=(H;\mu)\) by all equivalences \(R\) which are possible to define in \(H\).
