Binary grey wolf optimisation-based topology control for WSNs

open access: yesIET Wireless Sensor Systems, 2019
Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are composed of a large number of sensor nodes that are deployed at target locations. Topology control (TC) is one of the significant fundamental challenges in WSNs because of node energy and computing power constraints ...

Topology and geometry of the canonical action of $T^4$ on the complex Grassmannian $G_{4,2}$ and the complex projective space $CP^{5}$ [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We consider the canonical action of the compact torus $T^4$ on the Grassmann manifold $G_{4,2}$ and prove that the orbit space $G_{4,2}/T^4$ is homeomorphic to the sphere $S^5$.

Compact group actions on topological and noncommutative joins

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 2018
We consider the Type 1 and Type 2 noncommutative Borsuk-Ulam conjectures of Baum, D$ $browski, and Hajac: there are no equivariant morphisms $A \to A \circledast_ H$ or $H \to A \circledast_ H$, respectively, when $H$ is a nontrivial compact quantum group acting freely on a unital $C^*$-algebra $A$.

Real-Time Spatial Queries for Moving Objects Using Storm Topology

open access: yesISPRS Int. J. Geo Inf., 2016
With the rapid development of mobile data acquisition technology, the volume of available spatial data is growing at an increasingly fast pace. The real-time processing of big spatial data has become a research frontier in the field of Geographic ...

On Distance-Based Topological Descriptors of Subdivision Vertex-Edge Join of Three Graphs [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The analysis of networks and graphs through topological descriptors carries out a useful role to derive their underlying topologies. This process has been widely used in biomedicine, cheminformatics, and bioinformatics, where assessments based on graph invariants have been made available for effectively communicating with the various challenging ...

MAGNETIC TOPOLOGY OF CORONAL HOLE LINKAGES [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In recent work, Antiochos and coworkers argued that the boundary between the open and closed field regions on the Sun can be extremely complex with narrow corridors of open flux connecting seemingly disconnected coronal holes from the main polar holes ...

On minimal self-joinings in topological dynamics [PDF]

open access: yesErgodic Theory and Dynamical Systems, 1987
AbstractIf X is a compact metric space and T a homeomorphism of X we say (X, T) has almost minimal power joinings (AMPJ) if there is a dense GδX* in X such that for each finite set k, x∈(X*)k and l:k → ℤ−{0}, the orbit closure cl {} is a product of off-diagonals (POOD) on Xk. By an offdiagonal on Xk′, k′k we mean a set of the form (⊗,j∈k′Tm(j))Δ, Δ the

On Valency-Based Molecular Topological Descriptors of Subdivision Vertex-Edge Join of Three Graphs [PDF]

open access: yesSymmetry, 2020
In the studies of quantitative structure–activity relationships (QSARs) and quantitative structure–property relationships (QSPRs), graph invariants are used to estimate the biological activities and properties of chemical compounds. In these studies, degree-based topological indices have a significant place among the other descriptors because of the ...

A topological join construction and the Toda system on compact surfaces of arbitrary genus [PDF]

open access: yesAnalysis & PDE, 2015
We consider a Toda system of Liouville equations defined on a compact surface which arises as a model for non-abelian Chern-Simons vortices. For the first time the range of parameters $ _1 \in (4k , 4(k+1) )$, $k \in \mathbb{N}$, $ _2 \in (4 , 8 )$ is studied with a variational approach on surfaces with arbitrary genus.
