Test and Evaluation of the Flexural Properties of Reinforced Concrete Beams with 100% Recycled Coarse Aggregate and Manufactured Sand

open access: yesBuildings, 2021
Although studies have been performed on the recycled aggregate made of waste concrete for the production of new concrete, the new concrete with 100% recycled coarse aggregate and manufactured sand (abbreviated as RAMC) still needs to be researched for ...

Introduction to the generalized theory of non-equilibrium Cahn-Hilliard phase transitions (Thermodynamic problems in continuum mechanics)

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2017
The occurrence of convective currents and their development from regular forms with the subsequent transition to irregular turbulent currents draw attention to the fact that they are responsible for the efficiency of many technological processes of heat ...

Flourishing in Resonance: Joint Resilience Building Through Music and Motion [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2021
Worldwide, children face adverse childhood experiences, being exposed to risks ranging from, exposure to political violence and forced migration over the deleterious effects of climate change, to unsafe cultural practices. As a consequence, children that seek refuge or migrate to European countries are extremely vulnerable, often struggling with ...

Creep Characterization of Inconel 718 Lattice Metamaterials Manufactured by Laser Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView., 2023
Herein, the creep characteristics of additively manufactured Inconel 718 metamaterials are investigated. The creep behavior of metamaterials and the effects of microstructural defects are assessed, and the microstructure defects are accurately captured using Kachanov's creep damage model.

Architected Lattices with a Topological Transition

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView., 2023
This article develops topological metamaterials showing multidirectional two‐step deformation under compression by embedding contact‐enabled topological mechanisms into lattice structures. Experiments on 3D‐printed 2D and 3D lattices and finite element simulations are conducted to demonstrate the working principle of the topological metamaterials.

A Critical Review of the Integration of Geographic Information System and Building Information Modelling at the Data Level

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information, 2018
The benefits brought by the integration of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are being proved by more and more research. The integration of the two systems is difficult for many reasons.

Rheological Properties of Cement Paste Containing Ground Fly Ash Based on Particle Morphology Analysis

open access: yesCrystals, 2022
Separating finer particles from raw fly ash is a popular method to produce high-performance admixture of concrete. However, the supply of separated fly ash is obviously behind the demand and the residue fly ash is difficult to be disposed. Ground fly ash

Effect of joint rigidity on structural behavior of RC buildings [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2021
Non-linear static analysis or pushover analysis is now-a –days generally preferred by many researchers to analyse the non-linear behaviour of the structure. Present study includes the effect of joint rigidity on the behaviour of the structure. A building is modeled with 5 and 10 story and designed for gravity and earthquake resistant loads by ...
