The gauge theory of dislocations: a uniformly moving screw dislocation [PDF]
In this paper we present the equations of motion of a moving screw dislocation in the framework of the translation gauge theory of dislocations. In the gauge field theoretical formulation, a dislocation is a massive gauge field. We calculate the gauge field theoretical solutions of a uniformly moving screw dislocation.

Isolated talus dislocation: a case report
Peritalar dislocation is a rare injury, usually associated with fractures. It mainly affects males in high-energy traumas such as falls from height, car accidents, or even torsional traumas during the practice of sports activities.

The gauge theory of dislocations: a nonuniformly moving screw dislocation [PDF]
We investigate the nonuniform motion of a straight screw dislocation in infinite media in the framework of the translational gauge theory of dislocations. The equations of motion are derived for an arbitrary moving screw dislocation. The fields of the elastic velocity, elastic distortion, dislocation density and dislocation current surrounding the ...

Traumatic costovertebral joint dislocation [PDF]
Rib fractures due to blunt trauma are a common chest injury seen at the emergency department; however, injuries to the costovertebral joints are very rare. We present a case of a 24-year-old man who was admitted after a high-speed car collision and was assessed in a level 1 trauma centre in Amsterdam.

Metatarsal Shaft Fracture with Associated Metatarsophalangeal Joint Dislocation
Metatarsophalangeal joint dislocations of lesser toes are often seen in the setting of severe claw toes. Traumatic irreducible dislocations have been reported in rare cases following both low-energy and high-energy injuries to the forefoot.

Oscillatory deviations from Matthiessen's rule due to interacting dislocations [PDF]
We theoretically examine the validity of Matthiessen's rule caused by strong dislocation-dislocation interaction using a fully quantized dislocation field, where its degree of deviation is quantified at arbitrary electron energy, dislocation-electron and dislocation-dislocation distances and interaction strengths.

The nature of deformation-induced dislocations in SrTiO3: Insights from atomistic simulations [PDF]
The nature of mechanically induced dislocations in SrTiO3 at low temperatures has been a disputed matter for a long time. Here we provide a systematic overview of the existing knowledge on dislocations in stoichiometric SrTiO3 complemented by computational models of several of the proposed dislocation types.

Traumatic incidences of subtalar joint dislocations are rare, occurring in approximately less than 1% of all traumatic dislocations. These injuries, however, often require prompt treatment due to involvement of skin tenting, open injury, and/or ...

On the non-uniform motion of dislocations: The retarded elastic fields, the retarded dislocation tensor potentials and the Liénard-Wiechert tensor potentials [PDF]
The purpose of this paper is the fundamental theory of the non-uniform motion of dislocations in two and three space-dimensions. We investigate the non-uniform motion of an arbitrary distribution of dislocations, a dislocation loop and straight dislocations in infinite media using the theory of incompatible elastodynamics.
