Joint inverse covariances estimation with mutual linear structure [PDF]
We consider the problem of joint estimation of structured inverse covariance matrices. We perform the estimation using groups of measurements with different covariances of the same unknown structure. Assuming the inverse covariances to span a low dimensional linear subspace in the space of symmetric matrices, our aim is to determine this structure.

Balancing Electrons to Break the Activity‐Selectivity Trade‐Off in H2O2 Electrosynthesis
Carrier‐concentration balancing in CuS is achieved by coupling cobalt dopants with cobalt vacancies, converting CuS from p‐ to n‐type to accelerate 2e− ORR while withdrawing excess carriers to optimize *OOH binding for H2O2 desorption. The catalyst reaches 8.14 mol g−1 h−1 with >84% selectivity in 1.0 M KOH and drives robust electro‐Fenton dye ...

The Role of Calcaneofibular Ligament (CFL) Injury in Ankle Instability
Category: Ankle Introduction/Purpose: Acute inversion ankle sprains are among the most common musculoskeletal injuries. Higher grade sprains, which include anterior talofibular ligament (ATFL) and calcaneofibular ligament (CFL) injury, can be ...

Electron Bernstein waves in spherical tokamak plasmas with "magnetic wells"
In addition to traditional regimes with monotonously increasing magnetic field, regimes with "magnetic wells" also occur in spherical tokamaks (STs). The magnetic field profile inversion modifies significantly the whole picture of the wave propagation ...

Smiles all around: FX joint calibration in a multi-Heston model
We introduce a novel multi-factor Heston-based stochastic volatility model, which is able to reproduce consistently typical multi-dimensional FX vanilla markets, while retaining the (semi)-analytical tractability typical of affine models and relying on a

A hydrogel with dynamic cross‐links was formed by cross‐linking hyaluronic acid with curcumin‐preloaded, phenylboronic acid‐modified poly(amidoamine) dendrimers. This hydrogel exhibited excellent injectability and self‐healing ability, enabling controlled Cur release in response to low pH, high reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation, or mechanical ...

Partially joint petrophysical inversion
SUMMARY Joint petrophysical inversion is a powerful technique for using multiple geophysical modalities to estimate petrophysical or geotechnical parameters of the subsurface. A precise knowledge of the petrophysical laws for the full model domain is imperative to enable petrophysical coupling.
