Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

Entanglement entropy of multipartite pure states
Consider a system consisting of $n$ $d$-dimensional quantum particles and arbitrary pure state $\Psi$ of the whole system. Suppose we simultaneously perform complete von Neumann measurements on each particle.

Negative entropy and information in quantum mechanics [PDF]
A framework for a quantum mechanical information theory is introduced that is based entirely on density operators, and gives rise to a unified description of classical correlation and quantum entanglement. Unlike in classical (Shannon) information theory,

Integrative Approaches for DNA Sequence‐Controlled Functional Materials
DNA is emerging as a programmable building block for functional materials with applications in biomimicry, biochemical, and mechanical information processing. The integration of simulations, experiments, and machine learning is explored as a means to bridge DNA sequences with macroscopic material properties, highlighting current advances and providing ...

Incomplete quantum state estimation: a comprehensive study
We present a detailed account of quantum state estimation by joint maximization of the likelihood and the entropy. After establishing the algorithms for both perfect and imperfect measurements, we apply the procedure to data from simulated and actual ...

Quantum‐Grade Nanodiamonds from a Single‐Step, Industrial‐Scale Pressure and Temperature Process
Novel method for creation of nitrogen‐vacancy centers in 50‐nm nanodiamonds based on high‐temperature plastic deformation is demonstrated. Compared to the electron irradiation approach, it yields nitrogen‐vacancy centers with significantly improved charge stability, T1 relaxation time, and optical Rabi contrast.

Classical and quantum physics impose different constraints on the joint probability distributions of observed variables in a causal structure. These differences mean that certain correlations can be certified as nonclassical, which has both foundational ...

Entropy production and asymptotic factorization via thermalization: a collisional model approach [PDF]
The Markovian evolution of an open quantum system is characterized by a positive entropy production, while the global entropy gets redistributed between the system and the environment degrees of freedom.

Circular photogalvanic effect measurements and first‐principles calculations reveal spin‐splitting states in solution‐processed bournonite films (CuPbSbS3) due to structural and bulk inversion asymmetry. The results provide experimental confirmation of coexisting Rashba and Dresselhaus spin‐splitting states in this non‐centrosymmetric chalcogenide ...

Demonstrating Continuous Variable EPR Steering in spite of Finite Experimental Capabilities using Fano Steering Bounds [PDF]
We show how one can demonstrate continuous-variable Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) steering without needing to characterize entire measurement probability distributions. To do this, we develop a modified Fano inequality useful for discrete measurements of
