Multicasting Precoder Design for Vehicular Joint Radar-Communication Systems

2021 1st IEEE International Online Symposium on Joint Communications & Sensing (JC&S), 2021
We consider the problem of multicasting a single data stream to multiple vehicles in a vehicular network from a joint radar and communication (JRC) equipped vehicle that simultaneously aims to detect multiple targets and estimate their localization parameters such as ranges, Doppler shifts and angles.

Bit Constrained Communication Receivers In Joint Radar Communications Systems

ICASSP 2021 - 2021 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2021
Dual function radar and communications (DFRC) systems are the focus of growing research attention. The common DFRC setup considers simultaneous probing and information transmission to a remote receiver, typically involving complex radar-oriented waveforms, whose detection can induce a notable burden on the receiver.

LPI Performance Optimization Scheme for a Joint Radar-Communications System

2020 IEEE 11th Sensor Array and Multichannel Signal Processing Workshop (SAM), 2020
In this paper, a low probability of intercept (LPI) performance optimization scheme for a joint radar-communications system (JRCS) is proposed, which is able to simultaneously estimate channel parameters from the target returns and decode the received communications signals.

Performance of a joint radar-communication system in doubly-selective channels

2015 49th Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers, 2015
When radar and communication systems are co-located and operating simultaneously in the same frequency band, interference can be addressed by designing the systems to share resources. This paper develops a framework for cooperative operation of bistatic radar and wireless communication systems. We adopt a low-complexity linear minimum mean square error

Adaptive Waveform Design for Automotive Joint Radar-communications System

ICASSP 2019 - 2019 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2019
Single waveform design for automotivejoint radar-communications (JRC) is being increasingly considered of late. This paper formulates the JRC design as an optimization problem exploiting the co-location of the two systems and investigates the trade-off between them.

Joint radar-communications design based on time modulated array

Digital Signal Processing, 2018
Abstract The demand for coexistence of radar and communication systems is increasing rapidly in recent years. In this paper, we propose a joint radar-communications design based on time modulated array (TMA) to satisfy the need of electronic system integration in civil and military, and mitigate the tension of spectrum resource. First, we investigate

Extended Logarithmic Frequency Domain Rulers for Joint Radar-Communications

2019 IEEE Global Conference on Signal and Information Processing (GlobalSIP), 2019
This paper studies the design and performance of a new class of Doppler estimation capable waveforms called Extended Logarithmic Frequency Domain Rulers (E-LFDRs) for joint radar-communications. E-LFDRs are multicarrier wave-forms whose carriers are spaced according to an Extended Golomb Ruler after a logarithmic warping of the frequency axis.
