Joint Design of Overlaid Communication Systems and Pulsed Radars [PDF]
The focus of this paper is on co-existence between a communication system and a pulsed radar sharing the same bandwidth. Based on the fact that the interference generated by the radar onto the communication receiver is intermittent and depends on the density of scattering objects (such as, e.g., targets), we first show that the communication system is ...

Abstract Our study challenges a commonly held assumption in the legitimacy and organizational change literatures: that the legitimacy of a change project is closely tied to, and dependent upon, the legitimacy of the change agent promoting it. Drawing on an in‐depth, three‐and‐a‐half‐year qualitative study of a major transformation within a French ...

ABSTRACT Addressing ongoing calls for a more robust understanding of philanthropic foundations, this paper uses metaphor analysis to map and analyse analogical metaphors on foundations—metaphors that make a direct comparison between philanthropic foundations and another domain—put forward in academic and non‐academic discourse.

‘Clinging Together Against the Dark’: A Pragmatist Reading of Sustainability Conversations
ABSTRACT In this paper, we present a typology of managers' interpretations of sustainability as ‘narrative fields’ derived from a qualitative multi‐site study and offer a Pragmatist reading of the results. Pragmatism is grounded in an ethic of meliorism, the belief in the possibility of gradually improving the world through human effort and ...

A DDPG-LSTM Framework for Optimizing UAV-Enabled Integrated Sensing and Communication
This paper proposes a novel dual-functional radar-communication (DFRC) framework that integrates unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) communications into an integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) system, termed the ISAC-UAV architecture.

Joint radar and communication application for traffic safety system
The concept of “smart” cars or intelligent vehicles is presented as one of the most promising solutions to reduce the high mortality rate that occurs on the world’s roads nowadays. Besides, the recent publication of standards as the European Standard for Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) or the international standard IEEE 802.11p confirm the ...

Abstract The irregularities of ionospheric plasma bubbles (EPBs) sequentially generated over wide longitudes are expected to share similar lifetime under normal conditions. In this study, we report a special case where the EPB irregularity lifetime over wide longitudes showed a quasi‐wavelike undulation pattern with wavelength of ∼3,000 km, that is ...

Super‐Robust Telecommunications Enabled by Topological Half‐Supermodes
Through topological half‐supermode engineering, we realize a valley‐ridge gap waveguide that is directly compatible with conventional waveguides and features topological protection. This design halves the lateral size via a PEC boundary, enabling direct TE₁₀‐mode matching and robust bend‐immune transmission.
