Changes in waterbird occurrence and abundance at their northern range boundaries in response to climate warming: importance of site area and protection status

We investigated non‐breeding waterbird population changes in response to temperature, site area, site protection status, and land use in agricultural and urban surfaces, at cold distribution edge in Sweden. Temperature increase was a strong predictor of population increase, particularly for warm‐dwelling species.
