Three-dimensional multi-contrast imaging of in vivo human skin by Jones matrix optical coherence tomography

open access: yesBiomedical Optics Express, 2017
A custom made dermatological Jones matrix optical coherence tomography (JM-OCT) is presented. It uses a passive-polarization-delay component based swept-source JM-OCT configuration, but is specially designed for in vivo human skin measurement. The center wavelength of its probe beam is 1310 nm and the A-line rate is 49.6 kHz.

Birefringence imaging of posterior eye by multi-functional Jones matrix optical coherence tomography

open access: yesBiomedical Optics Express, 2015
A clinical grade prototype of posterior multifunctional Jones matrix optical coherence tomography (JM-OCT) is presented. This JM-OCT visualized depth-localized birefringence in addition to conventional cumulative phase retardation imaging through local Jones matrix analysis. In addition, it simultaneously provides a sensitivity enhanced scattering OCT,

Development of Jones matrix tomography for functional ophthalmic imaging

open access: yes, 2015
Optical coherence tomography (OCT) provides the axial profile of back-scattered light from biological tissues and enables non-invasive, three-dimensional structure imaging. Since the introduction of OCT technique, OCT has shown its powerful utility especially in the field of ophthalmology.

Tunable Circular Dichroism Based on Graphene-Au Chiral Metasurface Structure

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2023
In this study, we present a chiral metasurface structure based on graphene-Au elliptical hole arrays. Circular dichroism of up to 0.91 is achieved by varying the rotation angle of the elliptical hole.

Advanced Processing of 3D Computational Microwave Polarimetry Using a Near-Field Frequency-Diverse Antenna

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Polarimetry is typically restricted to far-field characterization of a target using beam-like waves, which results in a 2 x 2 scattering matrix representation under two orthogonal in-plane polarization bases.
