Optimal Planar Electric Dipole Antenna
Considerable time is often spent optimizing antennas to meet specific design metrics. Rarely, however, are the resulting antenna designs compared to rigorous physical bounds on those metrics. Here we study the performance of optimized planar meander line

Companions of the fragments in the Jonsson enrichment
In this article we consider the properties of central types for the existentially prime strongly convex Jonsson theories in some extension. This class of theories is a subclass of a broad class of Jonsson theories.

I discuss recent progress in our understanding of two barriers in quantum gravity: $c > 1$ in the case of 2d quantum gravity and $D > 2$ in the case of Euclidean Einstein-Hilbert gravity formulated in space-time dimensions $D >2$.Comment: standard latex,

On the Kaiser Class of a Jonsson Theory
This work introduces new tools to extend the research framework for Jonsson theories, which form a special subclass of inductive theories. Specifically, we introduce the concept of the Kaiser class and define a new equivalence relation for the study of Jonsson theories, which refines the relation of cosemanticness of the theories.

Model-theoretic properties of J-non-multidimensional theories
The issues of utilizing the central type to analyze the theoretical and model properties of the idea of heredity were examined in this research, taking into account both theories and the Jonsson spectrum.

Kite-marks, standards and privileged legal structures; artefacts of constraint disciplining structure choices [PDF]
As different countries and regions continue to develop policy and legal frameworks for social enterprises this paper offers new insights into the dynamics of legal structure choice by social entrepreneurs.

On subdivision invariant actions for random surfaces
We consider a subdivision invariant action for dynamically triangulated random surfaces that was recently proposed (R.V. Ambartzumian et. al., Phys. Lett. B 275 (1992) 99) and show that it is unphysical: The grand canonical partition function is infinite

Cubical coloring -- fractional covering by cuts and semidefinite programming
We introduce a new graph invariant that measures fractional covering of a graph by cuts. Besides being interesting in its own right, it is useful for study of homomorphisms and tension-continuous mappings.

The Alexandrov-Fenchel type inequalities, revisited
Various Alexandrov-Fenchel type inequalities have appeared and played important roles in convex geometry, matrix theory and complex algebraic geometry.

The properties of amalgamation and joint embedding in the meaning of positive Jonsson theories
In this paper, we study special subclasses of theories on the basis of the connection between the amalgamation property and the joint embedding property, as well as between the h-amalgamation property and the joint continuation property. Our results are presented in both the classical first-order logic and positive logic, which exhibit a parallel ...
