On Pták's derivation of the Jordan normal form
Some readers of [1] might appreciate the following comments that make more explicit how Ptak’s beautiful insight there leads to a trivial proof of (the basics of) the Jordan normal form. The proof of Theorem 1 of [1] can also be based on the observation that, X being finite-dimensional, the sequence {0} ⊆ ker A ⊆ ker A2 ⊆ · · · must eventually be ...

ABSTRACT Corruption often involves collective actions rather than clandestine individual efforts. It is also socially facilitated via tacit complicity influenced by norms and beliefs. Five studies examine the delegation of decisions about corrupt behaviour as a social form of corruption and the role of attributing outcomes of delegated corrupt ...

Jacobi-Jordan conformal algebras: Basics, Constructions and related structures [PDF]
The main purpose of this paper is to introduce and investigate the notion of Jacobi-Jordan conformal algebra. They are a generalization of Jacobi-Jordan algebras which correspond to the case in which the formal parameter lambda equals 0. We consider some related structures such as conformal modules, corresponding representations and O-operators ...

Theories of the policy process: Chronicling the past and looking to the future
Abstract This personal reflection starts with the theme of how Theories of the Policy Process or ToPP (Sabatier, 1999) was received by European researchers and why this volume was particularly important for scholars working on the policy process of the European Union.

Derivatives of eigenvalues and Jordan frames
Every element in a Euclidean Jordan algebra has a spectral decomposition. This spectral decomposition is generalization of the spectral decompositions of a matrix. In the context of Euclidean Jordan algebras, this is written using eigenvalues and the so-called Jordan frame.

ABSTRACT Objective Eating disorders (ED) typically emerge in adolescence, a critical period for brain development and peer bonding. Interpersonal difficulties—particularly social anxiety—frequently co‐occur with ED. Oxytocin is a neuropeptide that modulates social cognition and linked to prosocial effects.

ABSTRACT The tilt angle of a solar PV panel is a critical factor in improving the efficiency of photovoltaic (PV) systems. While tracking systems can enhance performance, they are typically not cost‐effective for residential areas. Alternatively, setting an optimized fixed tilt angle or adjusting the tilt seasonally can mitigate power losses.
