The impact factor for the virtual photon to light vector meson transition
We evaluate in the next-to-leading approximation the forward impact factor for the virtual photon to light vector meson transition in the case of longitudinal polarization. We find that in the hard kinematic domain, both in the leading and in the next-to-

Objective Knee osteoarthritis (OA) commonly affects individuals with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) and is associated with increased risk of diabetes‐related complications. To better understand potential mechanisms, we examined the association between symptomatic knee OA and glycemic control in individuals with T2DM.

High impact factors are meant to represent strong citation rates, but these journal impact factors are more effective at predicting a paper’s retraction rate [PDF]
Journal ranking schemes may seem useful, but Björn Brembs discusses how the Thompson Reuters Impact Factor appears to be a reliable predictor of the number of retractions, rather than citations a given paper will receive.

Objective Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) use in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (lcSSc) is relatively uncommon because of the lower fibrotic burden and the predominance of vascular complications. In vitro observations and clinical data from transplanted patients suggest a protective effect of MMF on endothelial function.
