Forensic analysis and evaluation of file‐wiping applications in Android OS

open access: yesJournal of Forensic Sciences, Volume 71, Issue 1, Page 338-352, January 2026.
Abstract Anti‐forensics refers to techniques designed to obstruct the discovery of evidence in digital forensic investigations. File‐wiping is one of the anti‐forensic techniques that make data recovery impossible by overwriting data with specific patterns. This technique poses significant challenges to investigators.

Robust Real‐Time Detection of Small Traffic Signs in Adverse Weather Conditions Using GAHP‐YOLOv8

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Transportation, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Traffic sign detection (TSD) is a fundamental component of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and autonomous driving. Despite recent advancements in deep learning, robust TSD in real‐world scenarios remains challenging due to the prevalence of small targets, complex environmental interference (e.g., adverse weather and varying illumination), and ...

Protocol for assessing urban‐rural environmental stress disparities in ADRD through ecological momentary assessment (AURESIA)

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia: Behavior &Socioeconomics of Aging, Volume 1, Issue 4, December 2025.
Abstract Introduction Consistent exposure to environmental stressors increases the risk of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD). Little is known about the timing, location, and nature of these stressors. We outline the protocol for an ongoing study using a novel ecological momentary assessment app to evaluate environmental stressors in ...

Aging Reduces Intestinal Stem Cell Activity in Killifish and Intermittent Fasting Reverses Intestinal Gene Expression Patterns

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 24, Issue 11, November 2025.
Intestinal stem cells occur in clusters, and the cycle time of stem cells increases with age. The age‐dependent decline in structural intestinal tissue homeostasis is associated with a decline in stem cell activity. Aging causes significant changes in intestinal gene expression; intermittent fasting from adulthood onwards results in a gene expression ...
