ABSTRACT Thiafentanil is a popular opioid agonist used for wildlife chemical immobilisation. Its effects are quickly and completely reversed by the antagonist naltrexone. Successful wildlife immobilisations using thiafentanil have been documented in a variety of wildlife species globally.
