THE SINGLE CHAMBER TOMB WITH STAUROGRAMS FROM THE EARLY BYZANTINE PERIOD AT JULIOPOLIS NECROPOLIS (CHAMBER TOMB OF PRESBYTER PAULOS)

Salvage excavations were carried out and completed for the first time in 1991 in a large Necropolis area dating back to the Roman Period in Juliopolis. The works, which were resumed in 2009, continue to this day. Until 2023, 790 tombs were identified in the necropolis area, most of which were dated to the Roman Period.
