Collision‐Resilient Winged Drones Enabled by Tensegrity Structures
Advanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.Based on structures of birds such as the woodpeck, this article presents the collision‐resilient aerial robot, SWIFT. SWIFT leverages tensegrity structures in the fuselage and wings which allow it to undergo large deformations in a crash, without sustaining damage. Experiments show that SWIFT can reduce impact forces by 70% over conventional structures.

Angewandte Chemie, EarlyView.We disclose a novel boron macrocycle derived from the sustainable furan building block. The boraporphyrinoid exhibits a global antiaromatic ring current and dynamic conformational flexibility. Twofold reduction induces a switch to strong global aromaticity, accompanied by stiffening of the porphyrinoid backbone.

A Central Somatic Transmission Mediates Proprioceptive Facilitation of Muscle Pain
Advanced Science, EarlyView.Zhang et al. uncover a novel central mechanism for persistent muscle pain, in which TRPA1 sensitization in MeV proprioceptive neurons enhances somatic secretion. This, in turn, disinhibits descending pain control from neighboring noradrenergic locus coeruleus neurons via local GABAergic circuits, thereby promoting inflammatory muscle pain.
