Phylogenetic biogeography of the leafy liverwort Herbertus (Jungermanniales, Herbertaceae) based on nuclear and chloroplast DNA sequence data: correlation between genetic variation and geographical distribution

open access: yes, 2007
Aim  The cosmopolitan genus Herbertus is notorious for having a difficult taxonomy and for the fact that there is limited knowledge of species ranges and relationships.

The systematic position of Pedinophyllum (Marchantiophyta: Jungermanniales)

open access: yes, 2018
Phylogenetic analyses of an rbcL sequence dataset indicates that the generitype Pedinophyllum interruption nests within the Plagiochilaceae. Previous reports of Pedinophyllum truncation in the Adelanthaceae or Jamesoniellaceae are likely based on a misidentification of Syzygiella nipponica.

Currently accepted species and new combinations in Jamesonielloideae (Adelanthaceae, Jungermanniales)

open access: yes, 2018
Based on available molecular and morphological evidence we present a taxonomic synopsis of Jamesonielloideae. Cryptochila, Jamesoniella and Roivainenia are synonymized with Syzvgiella and Anomacaulis is treated as a synonym of Cuspidatula. Syzygiella is divided into five subgenera. Twenty new combinations arc proposed.

New combinations in Jungermanniales: transfer of 32 taxa to Solenostoma Mitt.

open access: yes, 2018
Solenostoma Mitt. represents an independent lineage of jungermannioid liverworts with peryginia terminated by perianths or with plicate perianths that are abruptly constricted to the mouth and form a tubular beak. Species with the generic features of Solenostoma have often been included in a broadly circumscribed genus Jungermannia L. or in Plectocolea
