Jurupari se suicidou?: notas para investigação do suicídio no contexto indígena [PDF]

open access: yesSaude E Sociedade, 2014

Metabolic adjustments in Satanoperca aff. jurupari (Perciformes: Cichlidae) [PDF]

open access: yesGenetics and Molecular Biology, 2003
In this paper, we describe the enzyme levels and isozyme distribution in skeletal and heart muscle of Satanoperca aff. jurupari, (Cichlidae, subgroup Geophaginae). LDH and CS were measured in skeletal and heart muscle. Starch gel electrophoresis was used to determine the isozyme/allozyme patterns in different tissues; LDH, MDHs, PGM, PGI, ADH, G-6-PDH ...

Rapid morphological change in multiple cichlid ecotypes following the damming of a major clearwater river in Brazil. [PDF]

open access: yesEvol Appl, 2020
Abstract While anthropogenic disturbances can have damaging effects on biodiversity, they also offer an opportunity to understand how species adapt to new environments and may even provide insights into the earliest stages of evolutionary diversification. With these topics in mind, we explored the morphological changes that have occurred across several
