In 2009, Movement Generation Justice & Ecology Project co-led a delegation of U.S. grassroots groups to the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. Appalled by the failure of the “Big Greens” to address the root causes of the climate crisis, in 2010, these groups brought others in to form what would later become the Climate Justice Alliance.
