Historical Roots of Hospital Nursing Centrism in China (1835-Present): A Path Dependence Analysis. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Aim To trace the historical evolution of hospital nursing centrism in China (1835–present) and examine how institutional path dependence has shaped the subordinate status of nursing within a doctor‐dominated healthcare system. Background/Introduction Despite major expansions in nursing education and policy advocacy, China's nursing profession ...

Topological Degeneracy and Vortex Manipulation in Kitaev's Honeycomb Model [PDF]
The classification of loop symmetries in Kitaev's honeycomb lattice model provides a natural framework to study the Abelian topological degeneracy. We derive a perturbative low-energy effective Hamiltonian that is valid to all orders of the expansion and

On the spectrum of a Hamiltonian defined on su_q(2) and quantum optical models
Analytical expressions are given for the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a Hamiltonian with su_q(2) dynamical symmetry. The relevance of such an operator in Quantum Optics is discussed.

Spin squeezing and entanglement via finite-dimensional discrete phase-space description
We show how mapping techniques inherent to $N^{2}$-dimensional discrete phase spaces can be used to treat a wide family of spin systems which exhibits squeezing and entanglement effects.

In this study, 3D‐TVS measurements of the uterine junction zone (JZ) in 120 patients showed that a JZmax threshold of ≥ 0.45 cm yielded 77% sensitivity and 89% specificity for adenomyosis diagnosis. Notably, JZ thickness varies minimally with age, demonstrating its stability and excellent diagnostic performance.

An Arena for Model Building in the Cohen-Glashow Very Special Relativity
The Cohen-Glashow Very Special Relativity (VSR) algebra [arXiv:hep-ph/0601236] is defined as the part of the Lorentz algebra which upon addition of CP or T invariance enhances to the full Lorentz group, plus the space-time translations.

THE AESTHETICS OF URBAN METABOLISM: Landscape, Design and the Politics of In/Visibility
Abstract In this article, we chart the evolving aesthetic contours of urban metabolism across London, focusing on the River Lea and Thamesmead to the north and south of the River Thames, respectively. We begin in the nineteenth century, when these two sites formed critical nodes within a new sewerage system that relegated the city’s circulatory flows ...

The transformer gene controls sexual development in Drosophila suzukii
The transformer gene plays a key role in the genetic pathway for sexual development in Drosophila suzukii Abstract The genetic network of sex determination in the model organism Drosophila melanogaster was investigated in great detail. Such knowledge not only advances our understanding of the evolution and regulation of sexual dimorphism in insects ...

Intriguing sets of vertices of regular graphs [PDF]
Intriguing and tight sets of vertices of point-line geometries have recently been studied in the literature. In this paper, we indicate a more general framework for dealing with these notions. Indeed, we show that some of the results obtained earlier can

ABSTRACT This paper examines the concept of resilience as understood and operationalised by various humanitarian and climate resilience actors in Malawi. Findings revealed a fragmented understanding of resilience among stakeholders and highlight the need for participatory approaches, localised resilience assessments and context‐specific interventions ...
