Development of the abdominal musculature in the chicken embryo

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, Volume 249, Issue 3, Page 618-633, September 2026.
In this study, we investigate anatomy, morphogenesis, segmental origin, and fiber formation of the abdominal musculature in the chicken embryo. We show that abdominal muscles arise from somites 24 to 28, and that the segmental identity of individual fibers in the abdominal muscle sheets is maintained.

Targeting Human Protein Kinase CK2 by a Library of Indeno[1,2‐b]Indoles: Contribution of Thermal Shift Assay to Pre‐Screening and Co‐Crystallization to Post‐Screening

open access: yesArchiv der Pharmazie, Volume 359, Issue 8, August 2026.
A series of 25 functionalized indeno[1,2‐b]indoles was selected from in‐house compound library and additional synthesis work. Capillary electrophoresis‐based and thermal shift assays, X‐ray analysis of small molecules, and co‐crystallization studies highlighted a key molecular template for the inhibitory potential of protein kinase CK2.

Random Friend Trees

open access: yesRandom Structures &Algorithms, Volume 69, Issue 1, August 2026.
ABSTRACT We study a random recursive tree model featuring complete redirection called the random friend tree and introduced by Saramäki and Kaski (2004). Vertices are attached sequentially, one by one, by selecting an existing target vertex and connecting to one of its neighbours (or friends), chosen uniformly at random.
