Systemic Inflammation and Peripheral T Cell Responses Associate With Hepatic Energy Metabolism in Recent-Onset Type 1 Diabetes. [PDF]

open access: yesLiver Int
ABSTRACT People with type 1 diabetes feature lower concentrations of hepatic adenosine‐triphosphate (ATP) and inorganic phosphate (Pi), which further decline during the early course of disease. However, it is unknown whether inflammatory pathways are involved in the diabetes‐associated alterations of hepatic energy metabolism.

Enhancing Li‐S Battery Performance Through Low‐Concentration Electrolytes with Organic Se/Te Co‐Additives to Address Solubility and Kinetic Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a low‐concentration electrolyte enabled by hybrid organic Se/Te additives (DPDSe/DPDTe) that restructures solvation, boosts polysulfide dissolution, and provides dual‐site synergistic catalysis, delivering high capacity and stable cycling in Li–S coin and pouch cells, supporting high‐energy, high‐power operation.

Enhanced Stability in Zero‐Excess Li‐Metal Batteries via Prelithiated Carbon Nanofiber Interlayers

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Carbon nanofibers carbonized at 700°C show Li metal deposition predominantly on the side facing the Cu current collector. During delithiation, Li agglomerates remain as inactive lithium on the fiber surface. This behavior can be changed by a modified n‐Buli prelithiation without a washing step, suppressing dead Li formation and therefore enabling ...

CD177 Deficiency Defines a Stable Subtype of Human Neutrophil Granulocytes with Tumor Promoting Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Human neutrophils exist as two epigenetically imprinted subtypes defined by stable CD177 expression or absence — a ratio that persists across time, circadian rhythms, and inflammation. CD177− neutrophils display a distinct molecular landscape enriched in arginase 1 and lipid metabolism markers, accumulate in head‐and‐neck tumors, and associate with ...

Auf dem Weg zu chromoselektiven Transformationen in biologischen Systemen: Perspektiven und Herausforderungen

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
