Fate of PFAS Through a Biosolids Drum Dryer With Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer Emissions Control

Reportable levels of PFAS and organoflourine compounds were found to be reduced in the outputs of a biosolids drum dryer compared to its inputs (60% of targeted analytes). A small fraction of targeted PFAS were detected in the gas phase and the emissions control system achieved > 90% PFAS destruction or removal.

Consequences of Cancer on Zebrafish Danio rerio: Insights Into Sex Determination, Sex Ratio, and Offspring Survival

5‐Hydroxymethyl Furfural Oxidation by Perylene Diimide‐Sensitized Electrodes Boosted by Photoinduced Doping

A molecular‐based photoanode, assembled from Sb‐doped tin oxide and a perylene diimide dye, promoted the oxidation of 5‐hydroxymethyl furfural (HMF) mediated by TEMPO radical. This system enabled the production of 2,5‐furandicarboxylic acid (FDCA), a possible replacement for terephthalic acid, with 80 % faradaic efficiency and current densities up to 2.
