K-Band Power GaAs FETS

MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 2005
This paper will report on the structure and performance of GaAs FETs developed for K-band applications. A power output of 27dBm was obtained with 5dB gain at 21GHz. A novel low loss waveguide to microstrip transition was used in the measurement. Its design will be described.

K-Band Echo Line

1946
Abstract : An echo line is a long waveguide in which the radar pulse re-echoes producing a series of pulses on the indicator for test purposes. The fabrication and testing of an 18inch helix of an oversized K-band waveguide 150 ft long are discussed. Tests showed the attenuation to be 0.029 dh/foot, which suggests the use of such oversized waveguide ...

Signal distribution circuit for K-band

2016 21st International Conference on Microwave, Radar and Wireless Communications (MIKON), 2016
The construction, work principle and analysis results for wideband microwave power distribution circuit have been presented in the paper. The circuit was designed for cooperation with electronic warfare or reconnaissance subsystems, planar antenna arrays and other one, working in K-band.

Optically controlled K-band oscillator

IEEE International Digest on Microwave Symposium, 2002
PIN photodiodes play an important role in detection of modulated light in fiberoptic links, however, these devices are essentially junction devices, with bias-dependent capacitance very similar to those of varactor diodes. Particularly under proper biasing conditions, junction capacitance of these devices can be changed by light illumination.

K-band circulators on semiconductor wafers

1996 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 2002
We report on the development of K-band circulators operating at 20 and 35 GHz which have been monolithically integrated with both GaAs and epitaxial GaAs-on-Si wafers. They demonstrate the potential for a fully integrated T/R module application.

K-band capacitive MEMS-switches

2000 Topical Meetings on Silicon Monolithic Integrated Circuits in RF Systems. Digest of Papers (Cat. No.00EX397), 2002
In this paper single-pole single-throw K-band microelectro-mechanical capacitive switches are discussed, exhibiting low insertion losses (

K-Band Waveguide Bragg Structures

2006 16th International Crimean Microwave and Telecommunication Technology, 2006
The possibility for controlling band-gap parameters of Bragg structure at variation of its period has been shown. Periodic dielectric structures have been proposed to be used as waveguide filters of mm, sub-mm and THz ranges with different frequency characteristics.

K-band adjustable noise generators

Instruments and Experimental Techniques, 2012
K-band (18–37 GHz) adjustable noise generators based on waveguide matched loads are presented. The physical temperature of the load absorber is maintained at a specified level with accuracy no more than ±0.007 K by a digital multichannel temperature-stabilized system.

Imaging Distant Galaxies in the K Band

1994
Using the results of a large K band imaging survey of distant galaxies with spectroscopic redshifts, we argue quantitatively that deep K band galaxy surveys require: (1) high-precision photometry to contribute substantial new information about the spectral energy distributions (SED) of galaxies at z 0.5.
