An ultra compact triple band antenna for X/Ku/K band applications

Microwave and optical technology letters (Print), 2019
A simple and practical method to design an ultra compact (128 mm2) patch antenna for X, Ku, and K band applications is presented. The antenna parameters such as current distributions, return loss, antenna gain, radiation pattern, efficiency, and group ...

Microelectromechanical K-Band Switching Circuits

1999 29th European Microwave Conference, 1999
Two single-pole single-throw (SPST) K-band circuit designs incorporating low-loss microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) microwave shunt switches are reported. DC measurements indicate actuation voltages in the order of 20 V with an on-to-off capacitance ratio of 30.

An additive manufactured K-Band Waveguide Coupler and K-Band Antennas in SLM-Technology

2020 23rd International Microwave and Radar Conference (MIKON), 2020
3D printing offers a very innovative opportunity for creating cheap or special rf-components like waveguides, couplers or antennas. However, these components require electrical conductive materials to be built of. Therefore, selective laser melting of metal powder is also an attractive production technology.

K band Gaussian beam oscillator

1994 24th European Microwave Conference, 1994
A K band Gaussian beam oscillator, with a new quasi-optical resonator, is described. The resonator consists of a plane mirror substrate and a concave spherical mirror with a highly reflective, partially transparent region. A high Q factor, obtained by using this spherical mirror, results in a low phase noise of the oscillator and the output power is ...

Micromechanical electrostatic K-band switches

1998 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest (Cat. No.98CH36192), 2002
Two novel designs of micromechanical capacitive switches using serpentine and cantilever springs for low actuation voltage applications are reported. Both designs also incorporate an electrode situated above the switching structure in order to provide system stability.

K-band slot reflectarray antennas

2018 IEEE Conference of Russian Young Researchers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EIConRus), 2018
The paper studies metal-only slot reflectarray antennas characteristics. All arrays under study are designed to be manufactured with laser-cutting technique. Bandwidth dependence on geometry parameters is considered for the case of single-layer linear-polarization antenna. The analysis is based on both full-wave simulation and a solution of an integral-

Inverted L‐notch loaded hexa band circular patch antenna for X, ku/K band applications

Microwave and optical technology letters (Print), 2018
A novel hexa band circular shape patch antenna with four inverted L‐shape notches is proposed. The antenna results are discussed in terms of reflection coefficient, surface current density, radiation pattern (co and cross polarization), three‐dimensional

Truly Balanced K-Band Push-Push Frequency Doubler

Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits Symposium, 2018
This paper presents a truly balanced push-push frequency doubler. The novel concept is based on two lumped quadrature couplers that provide a truly balanced signaling for two doubler cells. As a consequence, the output signal is inherently balanced and a

The K-Band Luminosity Function of Galaxies

Symposium - International Astronomical Union, 1997
The luminosity function of galaxies is central to many problems in cosmology, including the interpretation of faint number counts. The near-infrared provides several advantages over the optical for statistical studies of galaxies, including smooth and well-understood K-corrections and expected luminosity evolution. The K–band is dominated by near-solar
